Pregnancy Update: 31 Weeks

Hi friends and guests :)

I am already on my 31st week!!! 2 more months to go. As confirmed by my Ob, we are going to have a Baby Boy soon.  My little boy moves like he is having a circus inside my tummy hehe...Some of my friends who have a baby boy said that boys tends to move more than girls while inside. It sometimes freak me out when my tummy moves like crazy. I am afraid that he might be struggling and at the same time it also freaks me out if he does not move.

At this stage, I easily get tired and catching my breath sometimes. As to my routine, nothing has change. My daily exercise is walking to and fro to my little girl's school, about 30-45 mins walk total. I still do my house routine and No, we do not have a helper. I just make sure to finish one or two project everyday to maintain the cleanliness of our home.

Now, I am scheduled to see my Ob every 2 weeks. So far baby is growing fine. I don't drink maternal milk since I am lactose intolerant instead I drink Soya Milk. I take vitamins that my ob prescribed. I make sure to drink lots of fluids. My Ob actually does not prohibit me of any food. He just let me eat what I want and in moderation. Sometimes I just can't help myself eating sweets and drinking soda. So far my blood test results are all okay.

I am going to deliver in Thomson instead of Mt. Alvernia. I choose the 1 bedder room. I haven't gone to Thomson's Maternity tour yet as it is fully booked for the month of May. Wow! it seems that there will be a lot of mommies planning to give birth in Thomson.

Till then my friends!

Explorer Kid @ Ang Mo Kio

 Hello! Good day my Friends!

We want our 3.4 year old be entertained and hopefully exhaust her super high energy at least once a week. We normally go to Singapore zoo but I wanted a different setting, if possible, every week. I read about explorer kid at Ang Mo Kio Hub and gave it a visit last week end. We'd decided to get the membership as it is just 15sgd entrance fee and 5 sgd succeeding hour or 20sgd for unlimited play. Another 15sgd for the one time membership fee. I brought socks for my little girl but I forgot to bring socks for me and hubby. So, I have to buy 2 pairs of socks at 2.50sgd each. By the way, I like their socks. They have a change area where you can leave your shoes. You must sanitize your hands (provided) and always wear socks while inside the play area. They also have rooms for birthday event. They have a nursing area but no toilet inside. The toilet is just outside. The thing I really don't like, it was very cold for a parent to just sit and watch your kid. Must bring a shawl/cardigan or light jacket. We went inside from 1pm and got out around almost 7pm. After sometime inside, I kept on sneezing non-stop due to the cold temp and it lasted until the next day. Well, juicer to the rescue. I drank carrot and apple juice combined. I don't know if its psychological but it really helped my sneezing put to an end.
I saw 2 staffs who roamed inside the play area to check on the kids. It is safe and clean. Quite big play area. When we got inside, there were not so many kids until later around 3-6pm.  The kids really had a blast. Definitely, have to go back to this place. We were allowed to leave our princess while we grab some quick snacks.

Here are some pictures...

Photobook

I must be late about this photobook thing. Have you heard about it? I bet some of you owned 1 or more photobooks. It is actually the new trend (as I believed so)in preserving memories. So far, I have tried 3 photobook companies. To name them Photobook Singapore, Photobookmart and Photobook Express. I already owned 3 books from Photobook Singapore. 2 Photobooks are in production with the other 2 companies. I'll be doing some reviews about the 3 companies based on my experience with them. I'll have to wait for the other 2 books to get hold on to them. This is what made me busy for the past months while being away from blogland. It is good to be back. I have to check my fellow bloggers what they are up to. I must be missing a lot. Judy

Pregnancy Update: 9 weeks and 5 days

Hello ! hello!

The other day, every time I drink water, it had after taste. I asked my husband to buy Wilkins distilled water because I want to. I just asked him to buy 1 small bottle. He couldn't find any, instead, he bought me these...

Whaaattt!!! I was so shocked when I saw these. He bought different kinds of brands so I could choose. I was touched by his gesture and it was heavy bringing all these water from work. We did water taste test and it was fun! For me, they all taste water except for the Spritzer Sparkling Carbonated mineral water.

I had spotting when I woke up the next day. I did  not  feel any pain but it alarmed me and had to see a doctor immediately. I really do not know exactly how many months I am pregnant. I had vaginal ultrasound and  we were amazed that our baby is already 9 weeks and 5 days. Here is the ultrasound of our 2nd baby...

The estimated delivery  date is 19-07-2012, just 4 days after our wedding anniversary. I am still having mild morning sickness. The good  thing is that I don't vomit like crazy as I  had with my first baby. As I can remember I only vomit once so far but I have many  moments that I almost vomit if I smell something that I don't like e.g.  garlic and onion, rice, fish etc., I  am still picky with my food but it is not much of a problem. I heard  that a pregnant woman will have horrible morning sickness if there are too much toxins inside her  body so the morning sickness is one way to  release the toxins. I really do not know if this  is true but it is worth a try to detoxify if you are planning getting preggy. This is for now my friends. Thanks for reading.

Pregnancy Update: Mt. Alvernia Hospital

Hi! Good day my Friends!  How are you?

I get easily tired and wakes up very early in the morning, not my usual body clock. For the past 5 days I had abdomen/pelvic pain. It was sort of muscle cramp or tightening of muscle. I got scared then I kept meditating what caused it. Maybe I moved or worry too much and that put stress on my body. It was just  2 days ago that the pain subsided. I was waiting to get fever, fortunately, I didn't  got one. If I did, I really have to rush to the hospital.

Yesterday, we went to Mt. Alvernia Hospital  for a maternity tour together with  hubby and kid.  Our schedule was 12noon but we were late for 5 mins co'z we  got lost. Good thing  they allowed us to catch up with the tour and guess what? there  were another 4  more couples who were late.hehehe

We  have decided to give  birth in  Mt. Alvernia  next year 2012. So, me and hubby are preparing ourselves financially and our expectation from  the hospital. This is a private and Catholic  Hospital. After the maternity tour, they gave us  complimentary drinks and tote bags- inside were...

The facilities are quite good, comfortable and clean. I  noticed, they are doing some renovation works. I hope it's done before my due date. All in  all, it  was  a good experience. This is for now. 'till then my friends!

Pink is a combination of red and white. This color is the sweet side of color  Red.

from about.com

  • Pink is thought to have a calming effect. One shade known as "drunk-tank pink" is sometimes used in prisons to calm inmates. Sports teams sometimes paint the opposing teams locker room pink to keep the players passive and less energetic.

I hope you enjoyed my featured color today.

Baking and pregnancy update

Hello! Good day my Friends!

For the past days, I was so busy with house routine and baking. I wanted the house to smell like a bakery!. I  blame this to hormonal changes brought by pregnancy.
I was busy baking these...
1st day : Brownies

2nd day: Chocolate  Moist Cake (eggless)
3rd day: Pandesal (Bread of Salt) with butter

4th day:  Pandesal without butter. The bread looks a little burnt but in actual the color is just perfect.
 My little apprentice...
she likes to knead the dough
Pregnancy update: I am catching my breath every now and then and there is just too much gas in  my stomach. I keep on burping and passing gas. I don't think it is from the food I ate. I plainly blame it to hormonal changes going on inside me. I easily gets hungry and during my first week, I always have this heartburn sensation. So,  I keep my food intake into small portion and munch something every 2-3 hours.

Lately, I am too  lazy to join linky parties. Hopefully, I'll get back on track on what's happening in the blogosphere. 'till then my Friends!
